Bathroom Exhaust Vent

We corrected this bathroom exhaust vent issue by going out the gable wall with a 4″ termination vent. Needless to say, a minor mold issue was starting to develop with the moisture-latent air being discharged into the attic. We couldn’t go out the roof because he just had his roof re-done and cutting a hole would void the roof warranty. We couldn’t go out the soffit because the direction of the discharge tube off of the exhaust fan assembly pointed 180 degrees away from the soffit. Too many bends in an exhaust fan vent would lead to moisture condensing out of the moisture-latent air, causing moisture to collect in the 4″ vent. So we made a direct line to the gable wall. Problem solved!
